WOODFORD HOUSE is on the western slope of Table Mountain and looking right down onto the white sand of Camps Bay Beach, which is 400 meters or a ten minute walk away. The promenade along the beach has lots of popular restaurants, a supermarket, post office and theatre. Just around the corner are the four beautiful Clifton Beaches, where especially young people come together. The distance to the Cable Car on Table Mountain is 1 km. Cape Town with the V&A Waterfront, Aquarium and new Cape Town Soccer Stadium is 7 km, to Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens 15 km and to the Airport 25 km. This courtyard keeps the house downstairs cool in summer. And in winter comfortable under floor heating in the family room/ kitchen/ scullery and all the bathrooms. You can sit and relax at a few places. Indoors in the family room, lounge or courtyard and outdoors on the terrace in outside the lounge, under the veranda at the pool, in the garden or under the veranda at the barbeque. All these places have panoramic views of the beach and Atlantic ocean and are very private. Not visible from the road or the neighbours. Often we have fabulous sunsets over the ocean and see groups of dolphins and sometimes a few whales. WOODFORD HOUSE HAS 4 SPACIOUS DOUBLE BEDROOMS WITH 4 LUXURY BATHROOMS, EACH WITH TOILET, BASIN, BATH AND A LARGE SEPARATE SHOWER. DOWNSTAIRS: Bedroom 4 with two single beds and bathroom en-suite has a window and door going to the courtyard. It is the only room in the house without a sea view. For children or the business man this is a lovely quiet room with a PC and printer on a large desk at which two people can sit beside each other. Children like to play on the computer using the 32" TV screen as monitor. UPSTAIRS: All three bedrooms have air-conditioning and large panoramic windows so you can see the beach from your bed. The main bedroom 1 has a double bed and bathroom en-suite with a second basin and a bidet. It also has a kitchenette with a small fridge, microwave and tea/coffee making facility. And the windows have retractable awnings for the summer. Bedroom 2 has two single beds with the bathroom next-door. Bedroom 3 has a double bed and bathroom en-suite. Each bedroom has a hairdryer, electronic lock-up safe, a radio and telephone on a card system for outgoing calls. We sell these cards at cost. We supply all linen and towels including beach towels. Each bedroom has a big Sony 32" flat screen and satellite DStv limited to the following channels: nine Super Sport, three South African, a few Movie and some News channels. Also a DVD player in bedroom 1. In the family room a large Sony 42" plasma screen with Sony surround sound theatre system with DVD player and satellite DStv with all the channels. For the kids Sony Play Station 2 (or optional DVD player) with games. For your laptop ADSL wireless internet connection free of charge. Kitchen with granite tops, fridge, double oven, microwave, toaster and coffee maker. Scullery with granite tops and dishwasher. Washing machine, tumble dryer and washing lines supplied. A special pool heater system increases the temperature of the water up to 30 degrees centigrade, especially in winter. Without this system the cool nights keep the water cold to the middle of November. However on a sunny winters day with temperatures rising up to 20 degrees you can swim for hours with the children in our pool and relax on beach chairs in the sun or under the veranda.
